Trinidad's Attractions Stand Out
Monday, January 21, 2019

Havana.- The city of Trinidad, in central Cuba, stands out for its heritage values and attractions for tourism.

With 505 years of history, the city is reopening several establishments for the benefit of the population and thousands of visitors who arrive each year.

In that regard, the Romantic Museum, a symbol of the wealth enjoyed by the town in the 17th and 18th centuries due to the development of the sugar industry, was reopened.

Trinidad received the status of Humanity's Cultural Heritage granted by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1988, together with the nearby Valle de los Ingenios (Sugar Mills' Valley).

In addition, Trinidad was recently designated a Craft City of the World, ac certificate granted by the World Council of Crafts, founded in 1964 in New York.
