Havana.- Cuba will be present at the International Tourism Fair in Italy (BIT), to be held at its usual headquarters in Milan.
Cuba will be represented by the Cubatur and Havanatur travel agencies, the hotel chains Cubanacan and Gran Caribe, as well as the associated companies Iberostar, Barcelo, Melia, ACCOR and Blue Diamonds.
The Italian market is of great importance for Cuba, which last year was visited by 177,548 holidaymakers from that European country.
In light of this situation, Cuba aims to diversify new products and modalities that will be commercialized, such as diving, nautical sports, nature, tours, circuits, heritage cities, events and incentives, cultural and health tourism.
In Milan, Cuba will launch the call for the 39th edition of the International Tourism Fair FitCuba-2019, which will have Spain as a guest country this year.
