Havana.- The Jagua Hotel, in the central city of Cienfuegos, the capital of the province of the same name, will celebrate its 60th anniversary with relevant results.
Inaugurated in December 1959, the hotel consists of a central seven-story block of seven levels, more than 140 rooms, the pool, the Escambray bar and the Guanaroca cabaret, among other amenities.
Likewise, its balconies with rails and windows allow appreciating significant landscapes, including the Jagua Bay and the Guamuhaya mountain range.
Hotel executives are taking actions to strengthen its infrastructure, raise quality standards and consolidate its inclusion in the Melia group's business portfolio.
The list of personalities that have stayed in the hotel includes Ignacio Villa (Bola de Nieve), Elena Bourke, Luis Carbonell, Joan Manuel Serrat, Isabel Parra, Victor Jara, Wifredo Lam and Teofilo Stevenson.
