Cuban Chess Players to Train in Mexico
Monday, February 18, 2019

Havana.- Cuba's best female chess players will train in the Mexican state of Merida.

This option involves the current national champion, Oeliny Linares, as well as Yerisbel Miranda, Lisandra Ordaz, Maritza Arribas, Yaniet Marrero and Lisandra Llaudy.

Cuban experts noted that the training will improve the work of Cuban female players prior to major international events.

As part of their training, several blitz tournaments and simultaneous sessions with representatives of that sport will take place on Mexican territory.

The competition schedule for the female players includes the Open group of the Capablanca Memorial, in Havana, as well as international contests in the summer.
