New Meat Plant Operates in Central Cuba
Monday, February 18, 2019

Havana.- The central Cuban province of Sancti Spiritus benefits from the services of a modern hot dog making plant.

The factory, which is the first of its kind in the country, uses pork as its raw material, and its production goes to the domestic market in foreign and national currencies.

According to experts, in a first stage, the daily production will reach some six tons and will increase gradually to 10 tons a day.

Equipped with state-of-the-art Italian technology and signed under the FarmaVenta trademark, the Hot Dog Plant is valued at around six million dollars.

This food will be marketed as shrink-wrapped packages of 10, 20 and 30 units each, which contain 12.6 percent of protein.
