Havana.- Authorities from French Guiana showed interest in concluding agreements to receive Cuban medical professionals in that territory.
In that regard, it is worth mentioning that the population of this overseas territory wants to meet the demand for doctors.
Thus, they were favorable to receive 100 Cuban doctors in hospitals, including experts in Dentistry, Oncology and Pulmonology.
Representatives of French Guiana plan to visit Cuba again with a view to advancing dialogue on the above-mentioned subject.
By virtue of a decree from January 26, 2005, Guyana is the only French territory authorized to hire medical personnel outside the European Union.
