Tourism in the Caribbean Is Expected to Grow |

Nassau.- The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) predicted a significant increase in the sector in 2019, with a growth of 6-7 percent.
Executives from the organization assured that during that period, arrivals in the cruise modality should increase up to 5 percent.
In 2018, Caribbean destinations received 29.9 million tourists, exceeded only by the 30.6 million reported in 2017.
It is worth mentioning that Canada was the market with the best performance, with 3.9 million visits, which represented an increase of nearly 5.7 percent.
South America contributed up to 1.9 million tourists, with a rise of 3.6 percent, while Europe showed a moderate increase of 1.3 percent
