Havana.- The Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC) has organized an extensive program of films on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of that cultural institution.
The program includes the screening of the film "Insumisas", a co-production with Bohemia Films, and directed by Fernando Perez, from Cuba, and Laura Cazador, from Switzerland.
Likewise, a retrospective of ICAIC works will be held on its 60th anniversary, together with a theoretical event about the first early of the institution.
The agenda also includes the granting of the 2019 National Film Award to the producer Miguel Mendoza, the cinematographer Livio Delgado and the sound engineer Jeronimo Labrada.
In addition, a bookstore will be inaugurated at the 23 y12 Movie Theater, the first in Cuba dedicated specifically to collect literature on the cinema.
