Havana.- Primary health care is present in the eastern Cuban province of Camagüey, with a network of 676 family doctor's offices.
Thanks to this mechanism, Integral General Medicine (MGI) consults in 2018 exceeded the plan by 3 percent.
Likewise, it was possible to reduce the number of patients treated in hospitals and polyclinics.
Together with this, an infant mortality rate of 2.6 per 1,000 live births, among the lowest of Cuba, was reported.
In order to maintain the vitality of the system, 13 polyclinics and 108 family doctor's offices will be repaired this year.
