Positive Results for Tourism in Portugal |

Lisbon.- Tourism in Portugal reported revenues close to 16.6 billion euros, in 2018, accounting for an increase of 9.6 percent over the previous year.
The United Kingdom was Portugal's main tourist-sending market, followed by Spain, which contributed 1.7 million tourists and revenues of 2.158 billion euros.
It is worth mentioning that between 2014 and 2018, the number of Spanish vacationers who traveled to Portugal marked a rebound of 21.3 percent.
Over the past five years, there has been an increase of 16.8 percent of overnight stays by Spaniards in Portugal, with 4.14 million visits in 2018.
Among the most demanded attractions are the Fortresses of La Raya, the Historic Aldeias and the Aldeias do Xisto.
