Havana.- The Colonial Theater of Gibara, in the eastern Cuban province of Holguin, benefits from an extensive restoration program.
The works in the installation are in charge of recognized artists of the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets (FCBC) in the abovementioned territory.
It is worth mentioning that the work began in mid-2016 and so far the restoration process is at 85 percent.
Actions focus on the central stage, the dressing rooms and the lunettes, taking into account the characteristics of an 1890 building.
The architecture of the theater is characterized by masonry wall all around and a large three-story infrastructure built with wood in the interior.
