Havana.- The healthcare system of the eastern Cuban province of Ciego de Avila benefits from an electro-medical service that guarantees the good functioning of medical equipment.
The response capacity and the inventiveness of local experts led to a technical availability coefficient of 98.53 for clinical equipment and furniture.
Of 5,178 existing pieces of equipment, only 74 are still out of order thanks to the work of technicians and specialists.
Stretchers, wheelchairs, auxiliary tables and stomatology chairs are repaired, maintained and painted as part of actions on the sector's agenda.
In addition, faults are fixed by reprogramming computers, along with the adaptation of several models and brands, and the merger of up to two and three pieces of equipment to make one.
