Cuban Chess Players at Zonal Tournament in El Salvador |

Havana.- The chess players Carlos Daniel Albornoz and Yuri Gonzalez will represent Cuba in the Zonal 2.3 Chess Tournament in San Salvador.
According to specialists, the event will grant two spots for the next World Cup in Khanty-Mansiysk in September.
The Cuban players lead shortlist, organized by ranking, which has so far 55 competitors from nine countries, mostly from the host country.
Albornoz and Yuri finished in the fifth and sixth place, respectively, at the recent Capablanca Memorial in Havana, where they played in the Elite Group.
In case of ties in the first places, the classified players will be defined with games among those involved, a common system in these kinds of tournaments.
