Havana.- Cuba will participate in the 1st edition of the Sprint Canoeing World Cup in the Polish city of Poznan.
The Cuban delegation will include Liliana Naranjo and Mayvihanet Borges among women, while the men's team will have Serguey Torres, Fernando Dayan Jorge and Jose Ramon Pelier.
Dayan and Pelier will compete in the C1 category at 1,000 meters, a distance in which Dayan will repeat, but in the C2 modality, with Serguey Torres, both medalists in those games.
For their part, the women will compete in the individual races at 200 and 500 meters.
Cuban experts noted the Tokyo Olympics, where women's competitions will be introduced at a distance of 200 meters in the C1 modality and 500 meters in C2.
