Cuba Wins U-21 Pan-American Volleyball Cup |

Havana.- The Cuban men's volleyball team won the title in the U-21 Pan-American Cup in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic.
Cuba beat Canada 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 29-27), and both teams qualified for the Bahrain World Championships.
Puerto Rico won the bronze medal after defeating Chile 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-16) and won the remaining ticket to the World Championships.
The Cuban player Jose Romero was the Most Valuable Player, as well as the top scorer with 68 points, 14 of which were in the gold-medal game.
The most outstanding players were Julio Cardenas and Jose Gutierrez (attackers) and Julio Gomez (passer), all three from Cuba.
