Natural Medicine as an Option in Western Cuba |

Havana.- The western Cuban province of Pinar del Rio is promoting people's access to drugs of natural origin, which are available in some 100 pharmacies.
Experts highlighted that natural and traditional medicine consists of several modalities of treatment, diagnosis and prevention of diseases.
The offer includes syrups and creams, while 63 natural products make up the basic table and some 50 from the industry are also sold in local pharmacies.
These medicines are elaborated in three centers in the territory, to which there are 36 small establishments in communities of difficult access.
Natural medicine allows treating digestive disorders, lowering cholesterol levels, and treating hypertension, arthritis and flu, among other conditions.
