Cuba Works to Guarantee Medicines to the Population |

Havana.- The Cuban healthcare system is working in an accelerated way to guarantee the supply of the necessary medicines to the population.
According to specialists, Cuba has a basic list of 757 drugs, 619 of which are priorities and cannot be missed, while 138 others may not be available at some point.
In the established plan for some medicines such as serums, dipyrone, aspirin and others, it has been decided to produce only one of the several doses that were available.
It should be noted that the National Drug Program is managed through the basic list, which is the official list of drugs for both production and import.
Over the past five years, 62 medicines, 11 antibiotics, four cytostatic drugs for cancer treatment and four pain relievers have been introduced in the national market.
