Production of Red Ceramic Resumed in Cuba
Monday, June 24, 2019

Havana.- Cuba's industry reactivated the operations of the red ceramic elements factory in San Cristobal, in the western part of the country.

After complying with a five-month maintenance program, the plant resumed production with a plan of 950,000 lightened blocks in 2019.

Of that total, some 600,000 units will be used to build houses houses in the province of Pinar del Rio and the remaining production will go to Artemisa province.

The work allowed the repair of the extruder machine (which molds the bricks), the filter mixer, the mills, the wagons and the cutting line.

The clay deposit is about 100 meters from the plant and, as far as efficiency and energy savings allow it, the plant will produce floor and roof tiles.
