Natural Medicine to Improve Health in Cuba |

Havana.- The Cuban healthcare strategy has among its priorities the Natural and Traditional Medicine national program, aimed at adding new drugs for the population.
In this regard, it is worth mentioning that in 2018, 153 natural products were elaborated, and for this year, production will increase to 180 products.
This increase is accompanied by a rise in volumes and in 2019, the production of 90 million units is expected.
A higher number of patients are treated in the country with several Natural and Traditional Medicine therapies, a specialty that involves more than 200 experts.
In addition, Cuban health authorities are working to introduce Ayurvedic Medicine in the country, which is based on the energy of mind and body, a therapy that is present in 93 nations.
