Cuban Archers Train in Dominican Republic
Monday, July 8, 2019

Havana.- Cuba's best archers will fulfill a training base in the Dominican Republic, prior to the Pan-American Games in Lima, Peru.

The members of the national teams will promote the work as a group in a change of environment and, above all, design strategies for possible combinations in the combined event.

The men's team is made up of Adrian Puentes, champion in Rio de Janeiro 2007; Juan Carlos Stevens, fifth Olympic place in Beijing 2008, and Hugo Franco.

The women's team is composed of Elizabeth Rodriguez, who has got one of the best individual results in recent years; Maydenia Sarduy and Karla Fals.

Archery competitions will take place at the Villa Maria del Triunfo, in the compound and recurve modalities, the latter is the most attractive event because it will distribute tickets for the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020.
