Monday, July 15, 2019

Havana.- Cuba's best parathletes will fulfill an agenda of international events, prior to the Para-Pan-American Games in Lima (Peru).

Omara Durand, winner of five gold medals in Paralympic Games; Luis Felipe Gutierrez and Ulises Aguilera, all of them with visual disabilities, will participate in a contest in Bydgoszcz, Poland.

In addition, they must confirm the functional medical class, prior to major events such as the 6th Para-Pan-American Games in Lima, Peru, and the World Championship in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

Meanwhile, Leidi Rodriguez and Oniger Drak will participate in the world weightlifting championship in Nur-Sultan, former Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.

It is worth mentioning that last year, Rodriguez finished seventh in the 41-kilogram division, while Drake was fourth in the 88-kilogram modality.
