Bee Honey Production Increases in Sancti Spiritus |

Havana.- Bee honey production in the central Cuban province of Sancti Spiritus totaled 360 tons in the first semester of 2019.
According to experts, this volume exceeds by 87 tons the plan for that period, a signal that points to the recovery of the economic activity.
This trend responds, among other factors, to the good behavior of climate and blooms, together with the management of the beehives.
From January to June, the transfer of some 5,000 beehives to the south coast was also completed, in order to take advantage of the mangrove flowering.
Together with this, the province provides organic honey for the first time, with 15 tons to date and possibilities of approaching at 30 at the end of the year.
