Singapore Becomes Cruise Tourism Leader in Asia
Monday, September 9, 2019

Tokyo.- Singapore qualifies as the leader of cruise tourism in the Asian market, accounting for about 400 scheduled stops in 2019.

This way, the port is expected to receive nearly one million visitors in this kind of tourist modality, 831,000 of whom will use the condition of the terminal as a base for ships.

The ports of Keelung/Taipei (in Taiwan) and Baoshan/Shanghai (in China) followed Singapore in terms of access, with Hong Kong in the fourth position.

Analysts indicated that the number of vessels is the same for the Asian market, with 5.7 percent less capacity compared to 2018.

Thus, in 2019, a total of 39 cruise brands are active in Asian waters with 79 ships, a number that is similar to those that circulated in 2018.
