Spanish Market with Favorable Tourist Results |

Madrid.- Spanish tourist destinations served more than 48 million international visitors in the first seven months of the year, accounting for an increase of 1.9 percent.
From January to July, the United Kingdom remained Spain's major tourist-sending market, with 10.5 million vacationers, followed by Germany (6.6 million) and France (6.1 million).
The autonomous communities that received most tourists in the said period were Catalonia, with nearly 11.3 million, followed by the Balearic Islands, with 7.9 million and an increase of 0.2 percent, and the Canary Islands, with more than 7.6 million.
Also, in that period, the total expenditure by international tourists increased 3.3 percent over the same period in 2018, to 52.36 billion euros.
However, in July, the country welcomed 9.9 million foreign visitors, for a slight year-on-year contraction of 1.3 percent.
