New Joint Venture between Cuba and Russia |

Havana.- Cuba and Russia agreed to set up a joint venture that will produce composite materials for construction.
The project includes the installation of a plant in the Mariel Special Development Zone, which will assume the manufacture of fiberglass bars and meshes, which will be used as a complement to steel in buildings.
The joint venture is the result of an alliance between the Cuban Mercantile Society Siment Aut S.A. and the Russian company United Composite Technologies.
When the investment is completed, the company Teccomp Caribe S.A. will be established, which will help reduce imports and produce a new exportable item, especially for the Caribbean region.
