Occupation Grows in Hotels in Colombia
Monday, November 11, 2019

Bogotá.- The hotel occupancy rate in Colombia was 59.1 percent last September, accounting for a year-on-year increase of 2.1 percent in that indicator.

In that same month, the real income of hotels grew 7.6 percent, while profitability rose 7.5 percent.

Thus, the accumulated hotel occupancy from January to September was 56.17 percent, higher than predictions from the sector for 2019.

San Andres was the destination with the highest occupation rate in the month, closing at 72.7 percent, and a growth of 2.23 percent.

Likewise, as a result of tax measures in favor of the sector, some 55,000 hotel rooms have been built in the country since 2002.
