Cuban Triathlete Seeks Olympic Qualification
Monday, November 18, 2019

Havana.- Cuban Triathlete Leslie Amat scored points to his ranking at the World Cup held in the Dominican Republic.

The Cuban representative ranks 35th among 65 competitors, with a record of 1:38:14 hours.

That way, he completed his eleventh competition of the season, which started at the Ibero-American Championships held in Havana in February, when he won the silver medal.

That same result was repeated in June at Copa America, which took place in the Colombian city of Santa Marta.

Amat will finish its work in the Continental Triathlon Cup in Formosa, Argentina, as part of the strategy to accumulate points with a view to qualifying for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, in 2020.
