Description
Resembling a Cuban colonial mansion, the Marqués del Prado Ameno Hotel rises in one of the former city corridors. Behind the gate to the former residence of several generations of distinguished Havana families, a large hallway and a solid staircase on one side of the central patio, invite you to discover the history of the building, constructed in the early 18th century. Fragments of mural paintings from different periods decorate the walls of galleries and rooms, while artifacts found during archeological excavations decorate the four-star hotel. Located on O'Reilly Street and near Arms and Cathedral squares, the hotel invites you to visit a tavern that opens to the important Havana corridor. Salón Manzano can sit 15 people and evokes famous poet Juan Francisco Manzano, who was a slave of the Marquis and Marquise of Prado Ameno and who was freed thanks to efforts made by prominent personages of the time such as Domingo del Monte.
