| In its center there is a brass statue on a granite pedestal that represents the illustrious Cuban educator José de la Luz y Caballero, one of the founders of our nationality. It is the work of architect Charles Cousin and sculptor Julien A. Lorieux, both French. It was located at La Punta from 1913 to 1926, when it was placed on its current location. |
