Las Tunas Hotel: Elegance and Tranquility

The eastern Cuban province of Las Tunas has become a new piece in the Caribbean Island's tourist sector, boasting many options linked to beaches, nature, culture and history.

The province's 265 kilometers of coasts include 35 pristine beaches, characterized by their white sand, crystal-clear water and coral reefs.

The region's recent tourism infrastructure is marked by the elegance, good taste and tranquility provided by the Las Tunas Hotel, one of the emblematic establishments in the province.

The hotel is located in the city of Las Tunas, the provincial capital, and is 670 kilometers east of Havana.

The privileged situation of the establishment on a hill turns the hotel into a sort of special lookout from where the entire city can be seen.

The hotel's large parking lot, gardens and elegance lure to travelers to enter the building and discover the mysteries of its interior halls.

The establishment has 142 rooms, including four suites, where leisure and privacy go hand in hand to complement a unique and attractive offer.

In order to mitigate Cuba's suffocating summer heat, guests at the hotel are drawn by the swimming pool, as well as other facilities such as a game hall, restaurants and cafeterias.

The province's offers for foreign vacationers is complemented by game preserves and forests, where they can enjoy nature, in addition to mineral-medicinal waters in Jesus Menéndez municipality and speleological sites.

Besides, a local swamp is the largest reserve of American crocodiles in the Caribbean region, providing shelter to nearly 20,000 specimens.

Relevant sites linked to Cuba's wars of independence and natural culture spread throughout the province, including Fuerte de la Loma (the Hill's Fort), built by the Spaniards to repel the rebels' attacks in the region.

The hotel is 60 kilometers away from the city of Puerto Padre, whose first inhabitants arrived in 1869 and was the scenario of major battles during the Ten-Year War for Cuba's independence.

Las Tunas' efforts to close the gap with other provinces in the leisure industry is based on the huge natural potential that exists in an area of more than 1,500 kilometers.
