The Cuban archipelago, with wide sand strips, warm and transparent waters, has in the options of sun and beach the main offer for tourism.

In the wide spectrum of spas on the island Varadero stands out, with two tens of kilometers of excellent beaches, linked with natural attractions such as caves, virgin cays and transparent waters which are complemented by an ample infrastructure capable of satisfying the most demanding tastes.

The Varadero seabed has more than 40 types of corals, fish diversity, lobsters, shrimp, crabs, turtles and about 70 types of mollusks.

Likewise, immersionism has its stronghold in the so-called Hoyo Azul Ojo del Mégano, a huge cavern 70 meters in diameter, where submerged walls, coral barriers and huge banks of multicolored fishes prevail.

The figures confirm the interest of international visitors and Cuban tourists for this destination, with a record of vacationers in the 2016 exercise.

Together with this, the environment contributes more than 300 hectares of Punta de Hicacos, with the aboriginal pictographs of the Cave of Ambrosio and the ruins of La Calavera Salina, considered the first to be exploited in America by the Spanish in the stage of colonization.

Varadero has an International Skydiving Center and the services of the Varadero Golf Club, the first professional par 72 golf course on the island.

The facility is erected in the San Bernardino Peñas, where once the millionaire Irenne Du Pont de Nemours installed a nine-hole course for private enjoyment in an exclusive area of 180 hectares, a few meters from the coastline in one of the best Beaches of the orb.

Meanwhile, events and meetings also have space in the spa thanks to the Plaza America Convention Center, with a plenary for 600 people and seven additional rooms, ideal in those programs that combine rest and work in a pleasant and quiet environment.

It also has places of interest such as Retiro Josone Park, with about nine hectares and built in the past century around the La Paz Lagoon, now turn into a restaurant of Cuban and international food.
