Cuba: Options for Tourism

The Cuban archipelago, a stronghold for tourism in the Caribbean, is preparing its infrastructure to face the traditional increase in vacationers during the last months of the year.

The so-called peak tourist season is characterized by an increased in tourist arrivals, a trend that begins in November and usually extends until April of the following year.

The main attraction leading to this increase in holidaymakers is Cuba's weather, which contrasts with the low temperatures during winter in the northern hemisphere, in addition to allowing the enjoyment of the transparent waters that surround the country.

Airports, hotels, recreation facilities, car rental companies and travel agencies work together to assimilate the growing flow of foreign vacationers.

Beaches with white sands and warm waters are among the main alternatives for thousands of holidaymakers who come to Cuba every year to enjoy these facilities.

The existence of thousands of rooms is complemented by a large infrastructure of tourist facilities, shows, sports practices, commercial establishments and restaurants, where gastronomy occupies a special place.
