Cuban Judokas Ready for Int'l Competitions

Havana.- Cuban judokas are training to compete in the world championship in Holland.

As part of their training, five female judokas will train in Austria in August, prior to the tough tournament.

So far, Cuban female judokas have won 50 medals in ten tournaments, including 14 gold, 13 silver and 23 bronze medals. They are expected to win more medals this time.

The Cuban women's delegation is made up of Yanet Bermoy (52 kg), Idalis Ortiz (+78 kg), Yurisleidis Lupetey (57 kg) and Kaliema Antomarchi (78 kg), plus another judoka who has not been chosen yet.

The members of the men's delegation to the world champion, to be attended by judokas from 100 countries, have not been selected yet.
