Cuban Judokas to Compete in Europe

Havana.- Cuban judokas will take part in several international competitions in Europe this month.

The women's delegation is formed by Idalis Ortiz (+78 kilograms), Dayaris Mestre (48 kg), Yanet Bermoy (52 kg), Yaritza Abel (63 kg), Onix Cortés (70 kg) and Yalennis Castillo and Kaliema Antomarchi (78 kg).

They will compete in the Open Tournament in Arlon, Belgium, and the Grand Slam of Paris, France, where they will also training.

The 2011 schedule also includes the Pan-American Cup in Guayaquil, the Pan-American Games in Guadalajara and the National Championship, among other major competitions.

The men's delegation to the European tour consists of Oreidis Despaigne (100 kg), Oscar Braison (+100 kg), Antonio Betancourt (60 kg), Ronald Girones (73 kg), Osmay Cruz (81 kg) and Asley González (90 kg).
