Both of them are located to the north of the Province of Ciego de Avila, in the group of cays known as Sabana – Camagüey. The bird fauna of these cays is rich in aquatic species, among which outstands the presence of a dense colony of pink flamingoes; due to the fact that this is a transit, and even a nesting place numerous migratory species that add to the endemic ones of Cuban bird fauna. The flora and fauna of these islands is closely related with that of Bahamas, which makes a real paradise for the lovers of nature, who will have the opportunity to admire it through walk tours, horseback or excursions. |
